I had the pleasure of breifly meeting Chase Utley last summer. Although there were some women nearby who were going wild over him, I was not sure who he was. We had approximately a five minute conversation. Mr. Utley seemed to be a very down to Earth guy and the closest word I can think of was the fact that he seemed humble. After finding out exactly who he is, watching some interveiws, I see that same rather soft spoken, nonegotistical personality and I think that is great! At any rate, I would like to applaud their choice of charity work. I’m an animal lover and do what I can to help any animal I can. I help catch feral cats, have them spayed or neuterd and hopefully find homes for them. Pet Smart has been a temendous help, as is my brother-in-law and sister-in-law who happen to be veternarians in the Princeton, NJ area. Due to this the cats get a physical, all their shots and more than most people would imagine, most of these cats are adopted. This also includes the kittens that are born prior to the female being spayed. I can’t imagine a person who could possibly abuse an animal. I only wish I could help more than I have. If you or Jen have any ideas I would like to hear about them.
Lastly, I would like to know how to obtain an autographed photo of Mr. Utley for my son. He is eight and Michael could not believe (since he is only eight) that I didn’t even attempt to get one last summer. I explained when a person is going about their personal business, that would be very rude.

Chase is on mark for a fantastic year. He will be MVP without a doubt. He is the best ballplayer ever because he works at it every day. God Bless him.
