Question:
Can you tell us a little bit more about your dog?
Answer:
Our dog Jack is an interesting story. His parents were confiscated from a dog fighting ring here in Philadelphia and he was actually born in the shelter with 11 brothers and sisters. I realized there are so many homeless animals that need love and attention that it was best to adopt. We adopted Jack from the shelter and he couldn’t be any better. There are many nights I come home after a tough game, but seeing Jack’s face always puts that behind me a little bit.
Question:
Was it difficult to stay positive the last couple months when you were rehabbing the injury?
Answer:
I figured that would be the only way to get through it, to stay positive. And thankfully it has worked out very well!
Question:
What was your first game back from injury this season like?
Answer:
It felt great to get back out there with the guys. The crowd was outstanding, as usual, which I think gives the team a big boost!
Question:
Why did you decide to attend UCLA instead of trying to go pro out of high school?
Answer:
For me, it was about growing as a person and trying to get that college experience. I'm happy with my decision. I wouldn't change it for the world.
Question:
When you went through a hot streak, did it make things easier or harder on you to keep it going?
Answer:
It was a daily thing that you knew you were going to be asked about, so it was definitely in the back of your mind, but that didn't take away from the fact that you still had to prepare. You still have to try to figure out a way to help the team win.
